Community Singing at BIBLIOTEKET: Thursday 4 March 2027, 10:30–11:30, BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Every first Thursday of the month, singers gather at BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej to sing from the Højskolesangbogen (Danish folk song collection). The session runs from 10:30 to 11:30, with songs chosen to reflect the season, holidays, or current world events. A pianist accompanies the group as the songbook opens and the room fills with music.

No registration is required - simply drop by. The event is free, and all voices are welcome, whether you sing loudly or softly, are experienced or a complete beginner. Participants can suggest songs, and the latest edition of the Højskolesangbogen is used.

The community singing takes place in the foyer on the ground floor.

About the venue: BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej

BIBLIOTEKET on Rentemestervej opened in 2011 as Denmark's first fully integrated library and cultural centre. Designed by COBE, Transform and Brd. Andersen, the building is instantly recognisable by its four offset golden boxes, shaped like a stack of books - a landmark in the Nordvest district. Under one roof it brings together children's, youth and adult libraries, creative workshops, a flexible theatre hall, citizens' services and a café. The programme spans concerts, theatre, film screenings and literary events for all ages.
