Autumn holiday at Randers Fjord: three days with different themes in nature. The Fjord Centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in week 42, and all three days families can wade, shoot water rockets, enjoy a bonfire, see the exhibition and climb the large viewing platform overlooking the fjord.

Tuesday is about speed on the fjord. RIB boats head north, and north of Kanalø there's a chance to feel real speed. As an extra challenge, try watercast - you lie on a pontoon behind the boat and can slide off into the water. Speed increases gradually, and you can go in the water up to four times. Departures at 11:00, 12:30 and 14:00, duration approximately 1.5 hours, max 10 passengers per trip. A RIB trip costs 200 kr., with watercast 250 kr. Tickets are bought online or upon arrival if there is space.

Wednesday you can build your own bow and test it, or borrow one of the centre's bows and practice archery. There's also a bonfire and autumn atmosphere.

Thursday the outdoor touch pool is emptied of fish and crabs so you can get close to the animals and see what's hiding in the water. The crabs are cooked into soup, while the fish are released back into the fjord. Indoors there are activities in the exhibition and nature workshop, where the wood stoves are fired up and you can build kites and felt.
