Wild Food in Holte - Foraging Tour with Vilde Råvarer · Rønnebærvej, Holte

Foraging tour - wild edible plants by Furesø lake: Sunday 2 May 2027, 09:00–11:00, Rønnebærvej, Holte. Tickets cost 100–250 kr.

Join a foraging tour at Vaserne in Holte and learn to identify edible wild plants from nature. The walk takes you through forest and along the lake, where we search for wild ingredients that can add extra flavour and character to a meal. You'll learn to recognise Danish wild herbs and hear about their uses, both in everyday cooking and at Michelin-star level.

The area by the shore of Furesøen, called Vaserne, looks almost like primeval forest, with many small lakes and varied natural habitats. Here grow, among other things, wild garlic, watercress, water mint and wood sorrel.

The tour lasts around 2 hours and ends where it started. Bring a basket or bag, a herb knife or scissors, gloves and containers for what you collect. We meet at the corner of Rønnebærvej and Solbakken in Holte - the spot can be reached on foot or by bike from Holte Station, and there is parking along Rønnebærvej and Solbakken.

Children aged 5 to 13 can participate with a child ticket for 100 DKK. The route is not suitable for pushchairs the whole way, so ask in advance if you want to bring one.
