Kulturnatten 2026: Guided tour of brewer J.C. and Laura Jacobsen's villa

This year the Carlsberg Foundation celebrates 150 years. It was a century and a half ago that brewer J.C. Jacobsen signed the foundation deed in his villa on Valby Bakke, establishing the foundation for the advancement of science and the honour of Denmark.

For Kulturnatten, the Carlsberg Foundation opens the doors to J.C. and Laura Jacobsen's villa from the mid-1800s. The villa underwent comprehensive restoration in 2019-2021 and public tours are now arranged there.

Places are limited, so advance booking is required. To participate, you must have both a valid Kulturpas for Kulturnatten and a ticket for your chosen tour.
