Fathers and Sons - Personal Stories About Being a Father and Son · Energicenter voldparken - Fysiklokalet, Copenhagen

Fathers and Sons - Personal Stories: Thursday 12 November 2026, 18:30–19:30, Energicenter voldparken - Fysiklokalet, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

On November 12, as part of FOLK & MAD - Community Meal in Husum, there is a storytelling event about the relationship between fathers and sons with minority ethnic backgrounds. The storytelling event itself is free. If you also want to eat at FOLK & MAD - Community Meal in Husum, you need to buy a meal ticket on Billetto. Both the community meal and the storytelling event are held in the café KAYs at Energicenter Voldparken.

The evening explores questions such as: what connects father and son, and what creates distance when upbringing, language, culture and expectations are different? What is passed down from generation to generation, what changes along the way, and what hopes and dreams do fathers and sons carry?

A group of men share their own experiences as minority ethnic men, fathers and sons - about love, responsibility, grief, failure and pride, and about finding their place in the family and in society. After the stories, there is an opportunity to ask the men questions.

The development of the stories is supported by Augustinus Fonden and is a collaboration between the reality theatre C:NTACT, Baba - Foundation for Social Responsibility and NørreBrobyggerne.
