Winter Concert & Lucia with KONUR

Winter Concert & Lucia with KONUR: Sunday 13 December 2026, 19:30–21:00, Thorvaldsens Museum, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 150 kr.

KONUR holds a winter concert in the museum's foyer on the occasion of Lucia night. The concert takes place in connection with the special exhibition "Life, Longing & Landscape - Thorvaldsen's Painting Collection", which showcases works by recognized but lesser-known international artists from Italy, Germany, and Hungary. As a musical connection to the exhibition - and because Lucia is an Italian saint - the choir performs a folk song from Sardinia with roots in the Catholic requiem mass.

KONUR's repertoire spans folk and world music, including pieces from Georgia, Corsica, Bulgaria, and Ukraine. Doors open at 19:00, and you are welcome to arrive early to view the exhibition on the first floor before the concert begins at 20:00.

KONUR is a choir of 25 women led by Nini Julia Bang, known for its strong and resonant sound.
