Journey to the Green Shadows - monologue: Wednesday 21 October 2026, 19:30–20:30, Det lille Teater, Gråsten. Tickets cost 90 kr.

Finn Methling's "Journey to the Green Shadows" is performed in the schoolroom at Det lille Teater. In a monologue, a woman tells the story of an entire life - from before she was born, through childhood, youth, adulthood and motherhood, until she becomes a grandmother herself. The seasons form a living backdrop for the narrative, which follows her relationship with her body, love, motherhood and death.

It is a quiet, intimate performance where the audience sits close and follows one person from beginning to end. The play is considered the most unusual in Finn Methling's body of work, and Dorte Nielsen gives the woman voice and life. The performance premiered in 2024 and is now shown again over two evenings in October - with premiere on Monday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. and another performance on Wednesday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The performance takes place in the schoolroom at Det lille Teater, Ladegårdskov 14, 6300 Gråsten, and lasts approximately 50 minutes without intermission. Seating is at café tables where you can buy coffee, beer and wine before the performance. Doors open 30 minutes early, seats are unnumbered, and there are only 30 seats per performance - so it's a good idea to buy your ticket in advance.

Det lille Teater is an amateur theatre association in Gråsten where volunteers act, direct and build the stage.
