Free entry

Preparedness with Bente and Rasmus: Monday 9 November 2026, 19:00–20:30, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning. Admission is free.

Bente Boisen and Rasmus Kragh, winners of the Danish survival show Alone in the Wilderness, share their experiences and explore what the wilderness can teach us about preparedness - and how we can each become stronger if a crisis strikes.

Together with moderator Simone Gustafson, they discuss four aspects of personal preparedness: the physical, the mental, the practical, and community. What do you do when resources are scarce? How do you keep a cool head when the unexpected happens? Which practical skills are worth having, and what difference does it make to be able to help and rely on each other? With concrete examples from Alone in the Wilderness, it becomes a grounded conversation about how wilderness experience can better equip us for a crisis.

The event is free but requires a ticket, which is drawn here. It takes place in Room ABC.

It is part of the thematic collaboration "Together on Preparedness" between DR, Østifterne, Danske Folkeoplysnings Samråd, and the Libraries. The collaboration's events invite citizens to conversations, practical knowledge, and hands-on activities about preparedness - and focus on the topic in a broader sense, both as something practical, social, mental, and cultural: how we understand crises, talk about them, and help each other when everyday life is challenged.
