Boss Ladies: Women, Crafts and New Paths in Working Life

Boss Ladies - Women in Crafts: Saturday 24 October 2026, 12:00–13:00, Biblioteket i Herning, Herning. Admission is free.

Is it ever too late to change direction? Boss Ladies Tina and Christina share stories about women who have taken the leap into the trades and created new opportunities for themselves in industries where women have traditionally been underrepresented.

They share personal accounts of starting a craft apprenticeship later in life: what daily life as an apprentice looks like, the challenges and rewards of starting over, and how previous life and work experience can become a strength when changing careers.

The lecture is for anyone considering new paths in working life, curious about the trades, or wanting to learn more about how more women are finding their place as carpenters, joiners, or other skilled trades. The point is that it's not about age, but about desire.

The lecture is free and requires no registration. It takes place in the Platformen room.
