Give nature a hand at Høje Lindebjerg in Melby
Give nature a hand - volunteer outdoor work: Thursday 15 October 2026, 14:00–17:00, Melby.
Two horses have worked hard all summer, but now nature needs a helping hand to remove unwanted plants and self-seeded trees.
There are activities for the whole family: try scything with an instructor, help pull up small trees and bushes, bake flatbread over a campfire, enjoy a cup of campfire coffee or a glass of juice, and explore nature with binoculars and magnifying glasses. You need no experience - we'll show you how to help, and you decide what you feel like doing and have the energy for.
Wear practical clothes suited to the weather and bring work gloves if you have them. If you have a spade, feel free to bring it along. Bring your family, a neighbour or a friend, and be active in nature while making a real difference for the area's biodiversity.
The event is arranged in collaboration between Halsnæs Municipality and the Danish Nature Conservation Association in Halsnæs. Check the website halsnaes.dn.dk/arrangementer before you leave home to see if there are any changes or cancellations. If the event is cancelled, it will be announced at 11:00 on 15 October.
