Guided Tour: The Royal Palace (1 p.m.)

Guided tour of The Royal Palace: Thursday 22 October 2026, 13:00–14:00, Roskilde Museum, Roskilde. Admission is free.

On the occasion of World Heritage Day, there is a guided tour of parts of the Royal Palace and the outdoor areas surrounding it.

Parts of the palace are being carefully transformed from a protected baroque complex into a modern visitor centre as the Roskilde Cathedral World Heritage Centre prepares to open in a few years. Project manager for the world heritage centre, Lena Bruun Jensen, leads the tour and talks about the work of communicating the world heritage and Roskilde Cathedral's 1000-year history.

The tour lasts approximately one hour. Meeting point is in front of the entrance to Roskilde Museum. It is free, but requires a ticket.
