War and Trump Threaten

Lecturer Peter Viggo Jacobsen from the Institute for Strategy at the Royal Danish Defence College - Denmark's most cited researcher in the media - gives a lecture on how Trump has undermined confidence in the USA and NATO and made the world less secure from a European and Greenlandic perspective.

The lecture examines the consequences: massive European rearmament, greater European independence, and a world where security weighs more heavily than economics. Globalization and just-in-time logistics are under pressure in favor of stockpiling and supply security - and Western countries will increasingly bring production home and support strategic sectors such as defense, green technology, artificial intelligence, quantum computers, and critical medicines. At the same time, internal cohesion weakens in the USA, France, Britain, and Germany.
