Fermentation Workshop

Fermentation Workshop at Hovedbiblioteket: 26 October – 14 December 2026, Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus. Admission is free.

An open fermentation workshop bringing together people interested in living food cultures and methods for preserving seasonal local produce. Fermentation encompasses cooking, craftsmanship, and experimentation with nature's own processes.

You can bring surplus fruit and vegetables and get help fermenting them, share experiences, discuss specific challenges, or simply see what others are working on. Sarafina from Fermentorskab facilitates the workshop and shares her knowledge of fermentation in all its forms.

This is not a structured class or fixed programme, but an open community where people learn from each other. It welcomes both complete beginners and those already working with kimchi, kefir, miso, or sourdough.
