UNG KUNST Silas Meier

Silas Meier - young artist exhibition: 24 October – 5 November 2026, Kunstpunkt, Augustenborg.

Silas is 14 years old and in 8th grade at Tandslet Friskole. He has been drawing for many years, and drawing is for him a natural way to think and express himself. He has a creative mindset and often experiences the world in images, even when talking with others.

Silas never draws from templates. His figures and people emerge from his imagination and take form in his own way. In the images you meet different character types and figures, often with a twinkle in the eye. Humour fills much of the work and shows itself in small details, the quirky characters and amusing situations that make the images both recognizable and surprising.

Inspiration comes from several places, including manga and music, both of which have been part of his creative universe. Music, fantasy and images are thus connected in his work.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into Silas' world of images, filled with people, figures, humour and fantasy, where there is not just one right way to see a person.
