Parent Evening on Beginning Reading and Reading Training

Parent Evening on Beginning Reading: Tuesday 10 November 2026, 16:00–17:00, Vigerslev Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Reading guide, librarian and former Danish teacher Nanna Gregersen discusses reading start and the technical, pedagogical and psychological aspects of reading training. Topics include how to best support your child's reading, what LIX, LET scores and phonetic reading mean, how to create good conditions for reading at home, and how to ease the pressure for both child and parents.

The event is aimed at parents of children in early school years, but also parents of older children who struggle with reading and need extra help.

The presentation itself lasts around 45 minutes. Afterwards there is an opportunity to get help finding books that suit your child.

Entry is free, but admission requires a ticket to be reserved on billetto.dk. The event takes place in Salen.
