SIREN · Ungdomsøen (Middelgrundsfortet), Copenhagen

SIREN - ocean art project: 28 October – 9 December 2026, Ungdomsøen (Middelgrundsfortet), Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Artist Cody Lukas invites young people to create a new artwork about the sea at Ungdomsøen. Together, you will explore the island's waterfront - its forms, textures, and living creatures - and then use your hands to sculpt and cast elements for the work's physical form.

The final appearance, sound, and story of the artwork are not yet decided. The group will figure it out as you go, and there is plenty of room to put your own mark on it. No experience is necessary, only the desire to create something together with other young people.

The workshop runs over three days, and you can participate in one or more of them:
Week 44: October 28
Week 48: November 25
Week 50: December 9

Schedule and practical information:
17:00 Ferry departure from Nyhavn 71
17:40 Arrival on the island
18:00 Shared meal
18:30 Work time
21:00 Departure to shore
21:40 Return to Nyhavn
(Times may vary slightly from session to session - any changes will be announced.)

Meet at Nyhavn 71 and sail out to Ungdomsøen together. Remember to dress for the weather.

Please let us know if you cannot attend - write or call, better late than never. Questions can be directed to Anna Friederichsen at anna.friederichsen@ungdomsoen.dk or +45 30360291.

Photographs and video may be taken during the event for Ungdomsøen to use in communication on the website, social media, and in printed materials. If you do not wish to appear in the photos, you can let the photographer know on the day.
