Thomas Ploug: Artificial Intelligence and Ethics: Thursday 3 December 2026, 19:00–20:30, Brande Bibliotek, Brande. Admission is free.

Thomas Ploug is a professor at Aalborg University and researcher in ethics and artificial intelligence. In this lecture, he explores key questions on the subject.

The starting point is Kazuo Ishiguro's novel Klara and the Sun, which tells the story of a close friendship between the girl Josie and her artificial companion Klara. The book serves as an entry point for an open, curious conversation about the ethical dilemmas that AI presents us with.

The lecture does not predict doom, but invites the audience to think along. You do not need to have read the book beforehand.
