GLOW UP! Family Dance Playground - Halloween Edition

GLOW UP! is a dance floor for children and parents where electronic music, play, and glowing light in the dark come together. This Halloween edition takes place at Biblioteket i Herning in Room ABC. The concept was created by Váli Theatre Lab in collaboration with sound designer and DJ Tomasz Wróblewski and has been presented several times in both Holstebro and Herning.

Children are welcome to wear Halloween costumes, but it is entirely optional. Regular clothes work just as well.

The space is immersive, fluorescent, and interactive. You can follow glowing lines on the floor, play with images and sound, create choreographies together, and have fun among soap bubbles and colorful balloons. The experience alternates between free dancing and guided activities, small shared rituals that develop coordination, listening, and imagination. Electronic music is the common language for young and old.

On the programme:
• DJ set with electronic music for families
• Movement games and shared choreographies
• Fluorescent painting area to music
• Face painting and glow-in-the-dark tattoos
• LED screen with interactive visual art
• Soap bubbles, balloons, and colorful surprises

The event is for children from 4 years old and for adults who want to play again. The sound level is adjusted for children.

Entry is free. You are welcome to pick up a ticket for both children and adults so the organizers can see how many are coming, but it is also fine to show up without a ticket.
