The State of Democracy: Meeting Young People and the System + Dinner — Hovedbiblioteket i Aalborg, Aalborg

Over the past 25 years, Danish society has undergone significant changes: inequality has grown, media has become digitalized, political pace has accelerated, and international currents influence everyday life. This is the backdrop for a new examination of democracy's conditions - Power Audit 2.0.

At this lecture, professor Tea Torbenfeldt Bengtsson focuses on vulnerability - not merely as fragility or failure, but as a question of who gets to define the concept in the first place. She examines how this definitional power is exercised in encounters with the welfare state's institutions, and how vulnerability in everyday life is often experienced as a quiet, individual condition.

The results from Power Audit 2.0 are published in a book series of the same name by Aarhus University Press and are also presented in the podcast "The Hunt for Power".

This evening includes a shared meal at 19:00, offering an opportunity to continue discussing the lecture's themes. Venue: Glashjørnet.
