The building dates from 1956 and was designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen - also responsible for the Radiohuset - under the name Folkets Hus; it is now a listed building. The hall holds up to 1,500 standing and is where the bigger mainstream acts perform, across genres from rock and pop to hip-hop and jazz.
