Thornæs Distillery is located in Kongernes Nordsjælland and develops, produces, and sells Danish single malt whisky. The story began in late 2017 when writer, journalist, and whisky enthusiast Torben Thornæs Andersen set himself a goal: to taste his own 12-year-old whisky before turning 60.

Torben traveled to Scotland and drove through The Highlands and Speyside to learn about one of the world's oldest whisky industries. The Scots welcomed him warmly and generously shared their knowledge. These contacts developed into a professional network that helped lay the foundation for the distillery.

Back in Nordsjælland, the distillery has its raw materials close at hand: malted barley from the region and large quantities of pure groundwater with excellent flavor.

The tasting includes 7-8 different whiskies. The final program will follow. Price is 199 kr., and there are only 24 places available.
