Stine Askov: Nøjsomheden - The Book Behind the Film Adaptation

Kerteminde Libraries and Munkebo Culture and Library Friends present this lecture with author Stine Askov.

Askov discusses her novel "Nøjsomheden" - who inspired her and how she found her way into the world of writing. The novel follows Mona, who lives in the Nøjsomheden residential area in Helsingør with her family, and is filled with eccentric characters and strong women. Film director Hella Joof is adapting the book for cinema with a premiere in autumn 2026, and Askov also shares her thoughts on the upcoming film.

The lecture takes place on Wednesday, 7 October at 19:00-21:00 at Munkebo Library. Tickets cost 100 kr. and can be purchased on the library's website or from staff. Tickets are also sold at the door, but seating is limited, so there is no guarantee of available seats on the day.
