John Kørner's Sun-Drenched Lolland

John Kørner (born 1967) grew up in the coastal town of Onsevig on the westernmost part of Lolland, where his parents ran an inn that buzzed with life during the summers. His new works draw on memories of those childhood summers and depict the Lolland landscape in their light. The title Laguna Lolland emphasizes the magical quality of these memories and presents a counterpoint to the notion of Lolland as a bleak and impoverished place.

Fuglsang Art Museum presents the exhibition John Kørner. Laguna Lolland from 2 October 2026 to 28 February 2027. In the lecture, Liza Kaaring discusses the exhibition and Kørner, who combines an international career with Lolland roots.
