The Moon Over the Baobab Tree

An Africa-inspired performance for children about what a small gesture can mean to another person.

Anders lives in Denmark and receives a new bicycle as a birthday gift - along with a card urging him to "Give a chicken to Africa". On the other side of the world, Malaika spends her days fetching water from a distant well and dreams of going to school. The performance shows how the two children's paths cross, and how the bicycle and chicken ultimately bring Malaika closer to her wish.
