Author Visit: Anders Ibsen

How is a thriller written in six months - and how do personal experiences become fiction that feels disturbingly credible?

Author Anders Ibsen spent four years deployed by the Danish Defence in Greenland. At this event, he opens his creative process and talks about working on his novel: how research and personal experiences are transformed into a story that captivates even F-16 pilots, soldiers, and Sirius patrol members. He also addresses the question of where the line lies for what an author should reveal.

The novel "SIRIUS - What Attacks You" deals with geopolitics, terror, and survival in the Arctic and is inspired by Ibsen's time with the Sirius Patrol. The story unfolds at the abandoned military base Mestersvig in Northeast Greenland.
