Form and Story - Ceramic Course with Rosamunde Brüsch and Camilla Thorup
BRØKs Keramikværksted, Copenhagen · 1500 kr. · ≈ 201 €
This course explores making ceramic cups, vases and objects that carry a story - a personal history drawn, modelled or carved into the surface, a political message, or a vase that moves between sculpture and functional ware. Your starting point might be nature, a pet, your mother - whatever you choose. The form can be planned from the start or emerge gradually as your hands work the clay.
Techniques include hand-building, coil work, slab technique and modelling. Throughout the course you will explore texture, burnishing and glazing. The course suits both beginners and experienced makers curious about how ceramics can tell a story.
Course dates (all Tuesdays 15:30-18:30): 18/8, 25/8, 1/9, 8/9 and 22/9 (glazing) - plus collection 29/9.
Price: 1,500 kr. Included is 2 kg clay per participant (not paperclay); extra clay can be purchased on site. Max. 16 participants. Age limit 18 years - children and young people aged 12-17 are welcome with a ticket and an adult. Venue: BRØKs Keramikværksted (BK), the workshop room.
