Guided Tour: Inside Brønshøj Water Tower

Brønshøj Water Tower was built between 1928 and 1930 by architect Ib Lunding under city architect Poul Holsøe. At its inauguration it was hailed as an "architectural revelation" for the neighbourhood, and today the building is protected both inside and out for its cultural-historical and architectural value.

The tour takes place at ground level - it is not possible to go higher up in the tower. You will see the concrete structure from within: the column hall with its rounded forms and monumental height, and learn about the tower's role in Copenhagen's water supply and its current life as a cultural venue. The tower's distinctive acoustics are part of the experience.

The event is for anyone interested in architecture, local history, or lesser-known places in Copenhagen. Prior knowledge is not required.
