Jazz guitarist Anna Roemer brings her award-winning album Blåregn to Brønshøj Vandtårn in Copenhagen on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at 20:00. The concert takes place inside the listed functionalist water tower from 1928, designed by architect Ib Lunding, where the interior soars over 20 metres to the ceiling. Blåregn, released in 2024, earned six stars in GAFFA and won Roemer the Carl Prize as Composer of the Year in jazz. For this performance, the album is reimagined with string arrangements - violin, cello and double bass weaving around her guitar. Admission is 100 kroner.

About the venue: Brønshøj Vandtårn

Brønshøj Vandtårn is a listed functionalist water tower from 1928, designed by architect Ib Lunding in reinforced concrete and standing 34 metres tall. It supplied Copenhagen with water until 1999 and has since been converted into a cultural venue. Inside, the ceiling soars more than 20 metres overhead, giving the space a striking reverberation that shapes everything from black metal and poetry to sound art and exhibitions. The tower is run by the cultural centre Pilegården and has no fixed opening hours - the programme determines when the doors are open.
