Anna Roemer + Ekko
Anna Roemer and Ekko perform together at Musik Loppen. An evening with two artists on the same stage.
Anna Roemer is a Danish guitarist and composer from South Zealand, trained at the Syddansk Musikkonservatorium. She works both as a solo artist and as one half of the duo KALEIIDO alongside saxophonist Cecilie Strange - a partnership that has won the Carl Prize for Jazz Composer of the Year twice. Her 2024 solo album Blåregn, a deeply personal tribute to her late father, earned six stars in GAFFA and the Carl Prize in her own name. Using only guitar and pedalboard, she builds sonic landscapes that shift between fragility and quiet insistence.
Anna Roemer released the re-release 'Blåregn with Strings' on February 6, 2026 and toured with a quartet format consisting of violin, cello and double bass.
The project 'Anna Roemer with Strings' made its live debut at SPOT Festival in Aarhus to a full house and enthusiastic reviews from, among others, All That, Bibzoom and Jazznyt.
Anna Roemer was on a winter and spring tour in 2025 with the solo album Blåregn, including at Vinterjazz at Huset in Aalborg and Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen.
Anna Roemer performed a solo show on the opening night of Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2024 in Brorsons Church on Nørrebro.
The solo album Blåregn was released on March 22, 2024 and received six stars in GAFFA, which called it a masterpiece, as well as the Carl Prize as Jazz Composer of the Year.
