Workshop: Scrap Yarn Knitting with Uhlala

Dina from Uhlala Knitwear shares her techniques for knitting with scrap yarn, showing how yarn remnants in different colors, qualities, and thicknesses can be combined into projects with personality. You'll learn how to organize your yarn stash, assess whether you have enough yarn for a project, and combine yarns in ways that create interesting textures and color effects.

The workshop is for anyone who wants to experiment more with knitting and use yarn scraps creatively.

Bring as many yarn scraps as possible - ideally in varying thicknesses, qualities, and colors. You can also supplement from the Yarn Festival's swap table. Remember to bring circular needles in 6 and 7 mm, a measuring tape, and knitting needles. If you use magic loop and interchangeable needles, both 60 and 80 cm cables are recommended.
