Workshop: Freeform Knitting with Flowers and Leaves

This workshop explores freeform knitting with a focus on flowers and leaves. The core techniques - increases, decreases, and cable needles - form the foundation. You'll start with small patterns to master the basics, then move on to working without a pattern.

In freeform knitting, you create smaller knitted pieces that are sewn together into motifs, where you decide the colours, shapes, and patterns. The goal is to knit a motif featuring flowers and leaves using the workshop's techniques. You can photograph the small knitting patterns to continue working with them at home.

Yarn in many colours will be provided. Bring four 4 mm double-pointed needles and one short 4 mm circular needle.

The workshop is taught by Signe Riisom, who has been knitting since childhood and has worked with knitting art and freeform techniques since 2017.
