Book Concert: Kenneth Thordal

Musician, songwriter and translator Kenneth Thordal presents his debut novel, Fnok - a story about a father in dissolution, inspired by the death of his own daughter.

The novel's protagonist Tom has lost his teenage daughter. Life has come to a standstill behind drawn curtains, and he only leaves home wearing dark sunglasses and a bicycle helmet. Over the course of some tumultuous winter days, intoxication, song and visions break through the darkness in glimpses, while the dead daughter's voice weaves in and out of the narrative - she speaks to him from heaven somewhere above Vesterbro.

The book concert alternates between music and spoken word and takes place in LitteraturStedet/Salen at Åby Library.
