Svanger at Brønshøj Vandtårn

Svanger draws on Nordic folk music and Danish song traditions, blending them with contemporary jazz and influences from a wide range of genres and cultures. The duo works with a distinctive format created when two melody instruments meet - supplemented by loops, effects, and vocals.

A central theme in their music is dialogue: how we communicate through sound, and what happens when attentiveness to each other and curiosity become the guiding principle. Svanger is also a feminist manifesto exploring the semantic field around femininity in both music and concept.

Following their album "mor fødes", they embark on an acoustic tour in autumn 2026 through churches and other spaces with special acoustics. At Brønshøj Vandtårn they perform new music written specifically for the venue.
