Free guided tour of the Carlstad exhibition — Rytterskolen, Copenhagen
Free entry

The Carlstad exhibition is located on the first floor of Rytterskolen. With 18 scenarios and 300 figures in 1:32 scale, it depicts one of the most dramatic periods in Danish history: the nearly two years when a large Swedish military force had its main camp, Carlstad, in Brønshøj and Utterslev.

The tour follows events leading up to the night of February 11, 1659, when the Swedish army left the Carlstad camp and launched its final assault on Copenhagen. The rest of Denmark had already fallen - only Copenhagen remained before the country could be incorporated into Carl Gustav's realm.

Guide Tom Petersen is an amateur historian who has lived in Brønshøj for 40 years. Over the years, he has studied the Swedish wars and the Carlstad camp in depth and has organized historical walks along Carlstad's ramparts as well as cycling tours in the footsteps of the Swedish army.

Meeting time 13:00 at Rytterskolen. Admission is free, but registration is required - tickets are available on Billetto.
