Learn to throw pottery. 6-week morning pottery course with Tina Marie Bentsen

This course is for anyone interested in working with ceramics - no experience necessary, but patience and a willingness to practice are essential. Teaching alternates between group demonstrations and individual guidance, introducing you to fundamental throwing and trimming techniques as well as various glazing approaches. You will also learn about material properties, tools, and workshop safety.

The instructor is Tina Marie Bentsen, a graduate of Designskolen Kolding (2005). She runs her own studio and shop at Vesterbrogade 175 and has previously taught at the Ceramic School on Østerbro and the Glass and Ceramic School on Bornholm. In her practice, she works with both functional ware and stoneware pieces, exploring the interplay between form, proportion, and the colours and textures of glazes.

The course takes place in the ceramic studios at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre.
