Josefine Weber Hansen performs Edith Södergran on Sunday, 6 September 2026 at 14:30 at Café Karen in Sydhavn, Copenhagen. The viola player and composer presents selected poems by the Finnish-Swedish modernist in a musical interpretation where voice and instrument merge as a single expressive space. Café Karen occupies the ground floor of Karens Minde Kulturhus and serves home-cooked food made with approximately 80 percent organic ingredients. The event is free and marks one of two Danish concert dates for Hansen in September.

About the venue: Café Karen

Café Karen is the ground-floor café at Karens Minde Kulturhus in the Sydhavn district of Copenhagen. The kitchen works from scratch with around 80% organic ingredients, drawing on both Danish classics and international cooking. Every Thursday the café hosts a communal dinner open to all, and it also serves as the social hub for the cultural centre's events programme. Regulars range from families with young children to students and long-time locals.
