Josefine Weber Hansen Performs Edith Södergran

Josefine Weber Hansen is a violist, composer, and singer trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In 2025, she received the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize. She works at the intersection of classical music and experimental practice, and rooted in both voice and viola, she explores the relationship between voice and instrument as a shared, embodied space of expression.

For the festival, she performs selected poems by Edith Södergran in a musical interpretation, where the poems are given form and substance through the physical presence of the voice.
