TALK: The Most Beautiful Book Bindings 2026
BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Copenhagen · Free
The Association for Book Crafts selects and exhibits Denmark's most beautiful book design each year - both industrially produced books and hand-bound works where traditional craftsmanship meets experimental expression.
In 2026, the exhibition is shown at BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej for the first time, running from August 14 to September 9. The exhibition concludes with an evening where the participating bookbinders present their works. The opening talk is given by Sonny Ankjær Sahl - book historian, head of the Royal Library's Special Collections and chair of the committee that selected the books and book objects.
The participating bookbinders are Jonas Olsson, Lars Hedegaard, Malte Frej Linneberg and Tor S. Johannesen, Malene Lerager and Rikke Oberlin Flarup, Martin Degn, Egil Dennerline, Anne Marie Terrasson Hove and Hanna Munch Christensen.
At the same venue, you can also see The Best Book Works of the Year from August 19 to September 13. Free tickets are available via billetto.dk. Location: The Hall, 3rd floor.
