Hepcats Copenhagen offers free introductory classes in the swing dances Lindy Hop and Charleston.

Lindy Hop is a social partner dance to big band music from the 1930s and 40s - and the predecessor of both Jive and Rock'n'Roll. In one hour you'll learn some basic steps and meet new people. You don't need to bring a partner, as dancers rotate throughout the class.

About the venue: Kulturhuset Indre By

Kulturhuset Indre By occupies a former tram depot on Charlotte Ammundsens Plads in the Nansensgade neighbourhood. The building holds a theatre hall, two sports halls for badminton, basketball and more, music rehearsal rooms, and meeting rooms available for hire. Outside, a urban square with a skate ramp and basketball courts was inaugurated in 2008. Run as a self-service venue by the City of Copenhagen, it hosts cultural events and local associations throughout the year.
