Guided Tour: "Copenhagen in Light & Shadow" — Københavns Museum, Copenhagen
Description was written before the event

This guided tour explores the special exhibition Copenhagen in Light & Shadow, built on photographer Julie Rønnow's black-and-white photographs from the 1960s to 2004. As a freelance photographer living in Christianshavn, she was close to the city's events - demonstrations, police operations, and slum clearances - often in the thick of things.

Rønnow's photographs reveal the city's spaces: the buildings and the life between them. They offer concrete insight into how Copenhagen developed from run-down residential neighbourhoods into a modern capital with new concrete buildings. For the exhibition, artist Julie Boserup has created three new works connected to the themes of courtyards, concrete, and the harbour - a contemporary perspective on the same environments.

The tour takes place on Friday 3 July, 10 July, 31 July, and 14 August 2026, 15:30-16:30 at Copenhagen Museum, Stormgade 18, 1555 Copenhagen V.

Price: Adults 150 kr. (incl. entry) / under 18 years 20 kr. / annual pass holders 40 kr. For private group tours, see more on Copenhagen Museum's website under Private tours: Copenhagen in Light & Shadow.
