From Polaroid to Art on Paper

Polaroid transfer is an analog photography technique where the image emulsion is lifted from a polaroid photo and transferred onto art paper - entirely without chemicals. Each image is unique because the process never produces exactly the same result twice.

The workshop begins outdoors in the streets around Københavns Museum, where participants photograph with polaroid cameras. Back in the classroom, graphic conservator and visual artist Sille Juline Høgly Petersen and graphic conservator Sonia Maria Reindl Jacques take over and show step by step how the transfer works. Along the way, they also explore the technique's background and artistic possibilities.

No prior experience is needed, and the workshop is open to everyone over 16 years old. You take home your own finished works.
