Det Grønlandske Hus holds its annual Christmas star lighting and Christmas bazaar on the Friday before the first Sunday of Advent. All the stars in the windows and the Christmas tree in front of the house on Dalgas Avenue are lit together - followed by a Christmas bazaar.

Det Grønlandske Hus (The Greenlandic House) on Dalgas Avenue has served as a meeting point for Greenlanders and Greenland enthusiasts in Aarhus since 1971. The venue runs a cultural hall with lectures, exhibitions and concerts, and a shop selling Greenlandic books, music and other goods. It also offers counselling and guidance, and works with schools on teaching Greenlandic culture and history.
