Vanløse KulTour 2026
Warehouse9, Copenhagen · free entry
Warehouse9 participates in KulTour 2026, a day when Vanløse's cultural venues, studios and shops open to the public. The day features open workshops, performances, music, guided tours and talks - you can visit one venue or explore the entire neighbourhood. The event welcomes both children and adults and is supported by Vanløse Local Council.
Warehouse9 presents a talk by Niels Bjørn, an urbanist and PhD. He discusses how art and culture connect people and city neighbourhoods through experiences, identity and meeting places - and the risk that creative environments are pushed out when a city becomes too successful. Drawing on the Skjulhøj neighbourhood and Copenhagen's work with "creative zones", he explores how urban development can happen without losing distinctive qualities.
Niels Bjørn is an independent urban strategy consultant for municipalities across Denmark, with a focus on socially balanced cities. His latest book, "The Human Habitat", brings together research from around the world on human cities and urban spaces. He is also behind the podcast BYLYD, which since 2014 has produced series on architecture and urban development.
The event is free and open to all. Warehouse9 has level-free access and a gender-neutral, accessible toilet via a certified stair lift. All events at the venue are "relaxed", and a safer space policy is in place - ask at the entrance for more information.
