Extended Morning Song: Birds in the Danish Folk Song Book — Brønshøj Bibliotek, Copenhagen
Free entry

Birds appear in at least every third song in the Folk High School Songbook, making them one of the songbook's most frequently used motifs. The paradox is that many of the celebrated bird species today are categorized as endangered due to the biodiversity crisis.

In this song lecture, we sing our way through the Danish bird population and take a closer look at how the different species are faring - both in the songbook and in nature. Although the trend has gone the wrong way for several native species, there are exceptions, and they perhaps deserve a song too.

The song lecture is held by Mikkel Skovgaard, historian and communicator of the Folk High School Songbook. The event is free and requires no registration. Venue: The event room on the 1st floor.
