Christianskirken holds a diversity service as part of Pride Week in Sønderborg. The event is organized by LGBTQ+ Sønderborg in collaboration with the church, and is led by vicars Lars Astman Smedemark and Helle Astman Smedemark.

The programme includes congregational singing and musical performances, including songs from Højskolesangbogen. The vicars describe the purpose of the service with words from hymn 29: "Our earth as a flower meadow, a life in colourful connection - you, Lord of community."

About the venue: Christianskirken, Sønderborg

Christianskirken is the parish church for Christians Sogn in the eastern part of Sønderborg. It was designed by architect Kaare Klint in the so-called Klint Gothic style - a form language rooted in medieval Gothic, related to the Grundtvig's Church in Copenhagen. Construction took place in stages between 1957 and 1973; when Klint died in 1954, his son Esben Klint carried the project forward. The building is in yellow brick and features an altar table and font in granite.
