Hertugbyens Bevaringsforening (the Augustenborg Heritage Society) hosts a summer festival in the garden behind Hofrådens Hus, Storegade 11 in Augustenborg. Music is provided by Dinning in LA, with sausages, beer, soft drinks, and wine available. Entry is free.

The society will also use the occasion to share plans for Bakhuset and upcoming activities.

About the venue: Hofrådens Hus

Hofrådens Hus is a listed Rococo building from around 1774 on Storegade in Augustenborg. The name reflects its history as the residence of the duchy's court councillors - the ducal district magistrates - between 1787 and 1848. The original front door, carved with leaf tendrils and a fluted surround echoing Augustenborg Palace, survives intact. Since 2015 a self-governing institution formed by Hertugbyens Bevaringsforening, Sønderborg Municipality and Museum Sønderjylland has owned the building, with volunteers working to restore it as a new community meeting place.
