Description was written before the event

Dutch Swing College Band (DSCB) is a traditional dixieland orchestra founded on May 5, 1945 by clarinetist and saxophonist Peter Schilperoort. The band is perhaps best known for performing the interval act at the Eurovision Song Contest 1976, presented live from The Hague.

Schilperoort led the band for over 45 years - with a five-year break from September 1955, when he left the orchestra to work as an engineer, before returning on January 1, 1960. Following his death on November 17, 1990, Bob Kaper, a member since 1967, has been at the helm.

DSCB continues to tour regularly throughout Europe and Scandinavia. For the concert at Sønderborg Teater, the orchestra is joined on stage by jazz diva Ellen ten Damme.
