As 2026 gives way to 2027, we gather for a Christmas evening celebrating Danish holiday traditions at Christianshavns Bibliotek. Are you curious about how Danes celebrate Christmas - or are you spending December far from family and friends? You're welcome to join us.

You don't need to bring anything, but if you'd like to share a favorite Christmas snack, that's always welcome.

About the venue: Christianshavns Bibliotek

Christianshavns Bibliotek occupies the first floor of the historic Lagkagehuset building on Christianshavns Torv, with views over the square and canal. It is part of the Copenhagen Public Libraries network and serves one of the city's oldest neighbourhoods. Beyond lending and reading facilities, the library runs cultural events with local partners - including reading clubs, author talks and exhibitions. Outside staffed hours, visitors can access the building using their health card.
