Writing Workshop: Write About Sport and Body — Christianshavns Bibliotek, Copenhagen
Free entry

Explore sport and the body as inspiration for literary writing. This workshop investigates how sport can unfold poetically and literarily, treating bodily sensations and experiences as meaningful material. No special sports background is needed - it's enough to have held a ball or kicked one at some point.

Led by Maja Lucas, author of several literary works including 'Tennis Poems' (2026) and a PhD in literary studies. The workshop runs for two hours and combines instructor presentations with writing exercises for adults.

Participation is free but requires registration on Billetto. Bring your own laptop and/or paper and pen - no computers are provided. Desk space is very limited; you'll likely work with your computer or paper in your lap, and a writing board will be provided as a base. The 4th floor has a water station and a coffee machine, but feel free to bring your own water bottle. The workshop takes place in the Othello room at Christianshavn Main Library. From the entrance, follow the wall on your right through the library space and turn at the first corner - Othello is a side room along the right wall. Questions can be sent to literature coordinator Poul-Louis at i343@kk.dk.
