The Hen's First Egg (Augustenborg)

A hen is about to lay her first egg for the first time, but she is unsure where it should happen. Along the way, she meets a squirrel who offers his help - and then it happens: the egg cracks, and a little chick tumbles out.

The squirrel is thrilled with his role as the big and experienced one and tries to get the chick to copy everything he does. It quickly becomes a bit too much. The hen has her own ideas about what is best for her chick.

The performance is a musical puppet story about growing up while still being small. It is designed for children aged 1½ to 6 years and their adults.
