Janz and Haydn's The Seasons

As tradition dictates, we present one of the great oratorios in collaboration with Flensburger Bach-Chor and Symphonischer Chor Hamburg. This time the choice has fallen on Haydn's The Seasons, conducted by Matthias Janz.

The Seasons is a tribute to nature and rural life. The text is based on English poems by James Thomson, which depict the four seasons through descriptions of nature, rural activities, and festive celebrations.
